Okay, we have a slight surprise for you so try to contain your excitement. There’s been amazing progress on the amenities centre of Library District and we just couldn’t wait to show you. Here’s the amenities centre in it’s current incarnation
So first things first, a friendly little ” what up” to our neighbours, The City of Toronto’s 100th Public library. We have to admit, it’s coming along quite nicely, don’t you think?
If you come inside, you’ll notice that drywalling has begun on the main floor. Which is super cool.
Walking in a litte bit further you can see that the second and third floors are open concept, with a bit of a balcony looking overtop of the second floor landing.
Framing is in place for the changerooms.
Here’s a great view to the north of bathurst, if you look really closely you can almost see the Diner and oh man, let’s go for all-day breakfast right now? Wait what? We’re standing in a future gym. Okay, we’ll shelve that discussion until later.
This is what we like to refer to as an “elevator”. It takes people up and down floors.
Scaffolding is up to show how tall the centre will be. Kind of cool, right?
A lovely look out at the Bathurst bridge and rail corridor on a super sunny day.
So that’s it for now. We’ll have more in a month or so. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got some sit-ups to do.
Library District is connected to the City of Toronto’s 100th public library, and is steps away from the national historic site of Fort York.
