As Fashion Weeks around the globe come to an end (au revoir Paris – arrivederci Milan), our fair city Toronto is just now gearing up for 5 days of fashion-filled fun. With a mix of well-known, up-and-coming, and TFW freshmen, the runway will have something for everyone. From modern streetwear to glamorous gowns, these artists have lots of show. Our homegrown talent is bursting with creativity and sure to offer heaps of #ootd inspiration with their Fall 2016 Collections. Here’s an overview of 5 must-see shows to check out.
Greta Constantine
The team behind Greta Constantine – Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong – have been working on their label since its launch in 2006. The two expertly blend conceptual luxury with simple design to offer an accessible collection season after season. (via)

A premier name in the fashion industry, Marisa Minicucci is launching a new outerwear collection under the label Sssssssssken Studios. The collection offers modern and polished designs that the designer hopes will inspire ‘a touch of androgyny’ with her fashionista followers. (via)

Recent winners of the Mercedes-Benz Start-Up Contest, Jos Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Blanger definitely bring the edge to Toronto fashion week. The duo behind UNTTLD effortlessly combine a sense of both masculine and feminine aesthetic to produce collections that are the epitome of cool. (via)

Since launching her line in 2013, Hayley Elsaesser has become more than just Instagram famous – she’s a bonafide designing star, recognized globally. By far the most colourful and inclusive runway you’ll see any season, not only are her designs fun and fabulous, but also incredibly of the moment and chic.
