It’s official: summer’s over, and winter’s on its way – but in the middle lies fall, one of our favourite seasons to spend here in Toronto. Summer’s stifling heat can make staying inside all to easy, and winter’s basically an 8 month hibernation, but fall? Fall is when our city’s at its most walkable, most liveable and, sometimes, most beautiful. Here’s five reasons we’re glad the weather’s cooling down.

It’s been a great year for Toronto, and it seems like our status as a world-class city is only cementing itself further as 2015 progresses. Whether you’re all about the Toronto love yourself, or you’re looking for a gift for your favourite transplant, any of these fun products are a great way to show off your YYZ pride!

It’s been a pretty amazing month for Toronto! We’re hot off the end of the all-around successful Pan Am Games, we’ve got a beloved new sign in Nathan Phillips Square, and we’re getting tons of international attention for being all-around amazing. Canada recently regained our (rightful) top spot as having the world’s best reputation, from our welcoming people to beautiful landscape. As usual, we came out on top on the worldwide Safe Cities Index. To top it all off, we’re also the best worldwide city for young people and now Metropolis’ most liveable city in the world!

“Context has teamed up with Diamond Corp and Lifetime Developments on the redevelopment of the Celestica Lands at Don Mills and Eglinton.  We look forward to working together with the team and various stakeholders on the creation of a vibrant new community.”

Live in one of our most popular communities before it’s sold out for good!

If you’re an Instagram user in Toronto, you’re probably sick of the same old same old: skyline shots from the Toronto Island ferry, hipster tacos at today’s restaurant-of-the-minute, jellyfish at Ripley’s Aquarium…you get the picture. If you do a little digging, though, you’ll see Toronto’s urban jungle is home to thousands of Instagrammers paying daily homage to the places and spaces that make us so happy to call Toronto home. From intrepid rooftoppers to construction workers, entrepreneurs to ad industry creatives, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite accounts putting new spins on Toronto’s aesthetic.

Parks and green spaces are an integral part of the pulse of Toronto. Offering refuge from the hot summer sun, sticky sidewalks and maybe your shoes, the city’s myriad of green spaces are one of the best things about Toronto. Whether you’re a Trinity Bellwoods people-watcher, a High Park family-type or slowing down for a day in the Beaches, there are tons of great park activities you should scratch off your list if you haven’t already.

Summer’s here, and there’s no better sunny afternoon activity than putting your nose into a good book and relaxing in the sun. The good thing about summer is that a ton of new books come out – and our communities are near tons of public green space to enjoy them in. Do you know what else we have a lot of around our buildings? Libraries, where books are born. Wait, that’s not right. Anyway, here are some of our picks for summer.

Ontario Craft Brewers Week is coming to a close, but it’s always a good time to check out Toronto craft breweries. The industry has exploded in the last couple of years, and now some of the country’s most interesting and innovative breweries are right here in the GTA. We’ve chosen a handful of the best, and we hope if you haven’t tried them you will after reading this! Haven’t been converted to craft beer fandom yet? Watch this short clip from Indie Ale House Brewing and you’ll be a convert in no time.

Spring has kinda arrived in the city, which means warmer weather and none of that sad grey ice/slush mix on the sides of the road. It also means more bikes in the city. Not only is biking great for your health and overall fitness, it can be a lot easier on your wallet – and sanity – than owning a car or having to be at the mercy of the TTC every morning. Have we mentioned that bikes are very condo friendly? We’re here to give some tips for those who are thinking about trading in their morning traffic for that 2-wheel life.
