Unless you’ve been living in a cave on Mars with your eyes closed, you know the Pan-Am Games are arriving in Toronto July 10-26. We’re pretty excited about it, and here are some reasons why you should be excited too!

We’ve been reading many, many books lately. After all, it is the thing to do when it’s too cold outside to be social and mingle with friends. House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black have yet to return to Netflix, and we so gladly seek comfort in our first true love: books! The thing with books is that they’re not like movies, where the best ones come out during the summer and sometimes trickle into the rest of the year. Good books are always being published and so you always have something to read.

Here’s some books that YOU should read soon:

So it’s December. Yep, this means all of you lazy folks that have left Christmas shopping until the very last few weeks are scrambling to figure out what to give this year. You know, it really surprises us how many people procrastinate so hard on shopping for gifts when Christmas is always December 25th, rain, snow or shine. It’s not rocket surgery, folks.

Anyway, we thought we’d do you a solid and give you some great gift ideas from one of the best shopping centres in the country, Yorkdale!

And because it’s Christmas, we’re going to call it the 12 Days of Christmas at Yorkdale. Original? Perhaps not. Funny? You bet.

Hit it! *Clears throat”

Heretofore on this day, the 13th day of November, in the year two thousand and fourteen, let it be known that the publication known as Toronto Life has written a proclamation that Context shall be crowned the King of Toronto.

Every year Scotiabank hands out the Giller prize, which is the top literary prize in Canada. It’s like the Grammys of book writing. Or is that a Juno? Then what the heck is a Gemini award? Anyway. It’s a huge deal to those of us who love fiction novels. Especially Canadian fiction novels.

Fall is here and it’s only here for a short while before the snow comes, so make the most of it! We went to Yorkdale (since it’s literally right next to The Yorkdale) and did a bit of browsing/shopping. We ended up finding tons of things that are just perfect for this short-lived favourite season of ours.

So y’all know we love public art and love the city, right? It should come as no surprise that we’re big fans of Nuit Blanche then! If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years then we’ll quickly fill you in on what one of Toronto’s biggest fall events is.

We made a video! Exciting, right? Now you’ll be able to see how we’re going to transform the area, how we’re SO close to public transit, steps away from Yorkdale Shopping Centre, and some renderings of The Yorkdale.

HOW GORGEOUS IS THAT VIEW? Sorry, we can’t hold in our excitement!

We know you’ve been itching to see some renderings from The Yorkdale ever since we announced our newest project. Well, ask and you shall receive! Okay wait, that’s not true – that phrase won’t always get you what you want but in this case, it worked. Without further ado…
