Parks and green spaces are an integral part of the pulse of Toronto. Offering refuge from the hot summer sun, sticky sidewalks and maybe your shoes, the city’s myriad of green spaces are one of the best things about Toronto. Whether you’re a Trinity Bellwoods people-watcher, a High Park family-type or slowing down for a day in the Beaches, there are tons of great park activities you should scratch off your list if you haven’t already.

Okay, so despite the fact that March Madness is something like 64 teams, we’re much too busy to come up with 64 individual things about Toronto so we’re getting the sweet 16 started early. This is our official bracket to find the most Toronto thing ever.

Normally we’d be all about inviting our readers to participate in the selection process but some of you are pretty darn lazy. So come with us as we break down matchup by matchup.

Well, looks like some of our Christmas wishlist was crossed off, with some wishes well on their way to becoming a reality (and some not so much…no new mayor yet).

It was snowing this morning; which means Christmas is right around the corner! We love the holiday season in Toronto, but more on that later. We’ve got some book reviews to share!

These books will make great gifts for the book-lover in your family or you can just buy them for yourself – whatever floats your boat!

At Context, we’re always looking to expand our horizons and experience new things in the pursuit of science. Yesterday we thought we’d pay a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium to check out some of the cool exhibits. We’re talking about the sharks, obviously.

Move over, Yonge st, you’re not the talk of the town anymore. Well you may be still, but you’re not our favourite. There, we said it.

One of the reasons we love Toronto so much is the diverse nature of each street. Be it culturally, economically, or demographically, each street has it’s own story from beginning to end. In our first entry to the series, we take a look at what is sometimes called “downtown south”. Or as we lovingly call it, “Jock Alley”. Come with us as we explain why Bremner Boulevard is one of our favourite streets in Toronto.

We stopped by Library District today to check up on things and here’s a quick report on what’s going on.

Last Friday we sent the Twitterverse into a dougnut frenzy when we decided to give away two dozen Glory Hole Doughnuts as part of our latest Context Contest.
