Listen up folks, we’re going to let you in on a little secret. If you think condos are typically small and meant for couples or the bachelor life, you’re wrong. No, we’re not referring to that bachelor, you know, the one with the hot tubs and desperate women (although, whatever floats your boat buddy). We’re talking about the kind of bachelor that can’t remember the last time they did laundry and kind of wanders around their apartment in a haze because they have an intense desire for human contact but are too shy to talk to the pretty girl (or guy) a couple floors down when they see them in the elevator. You’re familiar, right?

Today is the day! The spring is back and we have another thing to distract us from the Maple Leafs! Yay baseball do the thing and win the points!

We published the official bracket to find the most Toronto thing ever last week (not the full 64, but the sweet 16 – we do have jobs, people). This week we battle it down to the final four.

Take it away!

Okay, so despite the fact that March Madness is something like 64 teams, we’re much too busy to come up with 64 individual things about Toronto so we’re getting the sweet 16 started early. This is our official bracket to find the most Toronto thing ever.

Normally we’d be all about inviting our readers to participate in the selection process but some of you are pretty darn lazy. So come with us as we break down matchup by matchup.

BlogTO wrote a post a few years back explaining the names of a few streets in Toronto and yeah it’s pretty alright we guess, but there are a few glaring omissions. These tell the story behind some Toronto streets that are very near and dear to us.

Ladies and gentlemen, friends and foes (we hope we’re all friends here though…), we’re going to Yorkdale, and we’d love for you to come along!

Here’s why we’re heading to Canada’s top shopping centre:

It was a stormy and snowy Wednesday afternoon but we knew we had to trek out to the Centre for Social Innovation on Bathurst and Bloor for this month’s Pop Up Market. The vendors were all from in and around Toronto so even if you didn’t make it out yesterday (they’ll forgive you on account of snowpocalypse 2014), you should still check them out online and at other local markets across the city.

Here’s what we got:

In honour of La Poutine Week (!!!) and the fact that we left our lunch at home today we thought we’d scour the city to find once and for all, the definitive ranking of Toronto Poutines.

We can probably write an entire series of blog posts on our love for the Canadian icon but we’ll stick to just this one. Mark our words, this is the only blog post you’re going to need before heading into the much-anticipated Poutine Week (Feb 1-Feb 7).

We don’t think you’re ready for this gravy, but if you are, you know what to do.

So, we’ve been so caught up with resolutions that we hadn’t even taken the time to sit down and hash out a new reading list for January. And to think, our resolution was to procrastinate more. So much for that. Anyway, check out our books you should be reading this month.

We have our fair share of superheroes here in Toronto, even though some of them might not don a cape or a über cool outfit. These individuals and groups are the ones that make Toronto such a great place to live, a great place to work and a great place to visit.

Check ‘em out, Toronto’s very own heroes.
