THE PROJECT
The building is an innovative 14-storey, 148-unit twin tower condominium with retail at grade and an above grade 100-car public parking facility. Parallel slabs of units are divided by a 10 metre wide and 25 metre deep void to allow light and air to penetrate. Four open air bridges cross the void and provide a second means of fire escape access. Many of the lofts are two-storey through units with dramatic city views to the north and south.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
District Lofts is located on Richmond Street West, just east of Spadina in the heart of Toronto’s Fashion District. To the north is the shopping area of Queen Street West and to the south are the restaurants and entertainment of King Street West.
